Therapeutic Approach – My approach is integrative, collaborative, and tailored to the individual. I draw from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and broader psychotherapeutic principles, adapting each session to suit the client’s needs and goals. I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, relatable, and practical — not like an exam you forgot to study for. You don’t need to arrive with perfectly organised thoughts; we’ll sort through the mental clutter together. My approach is integrative, collaborative, and tailored to the individual. I draw from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychological skills training, and broader psychotherapeutic principles to help clients build confidence, focus, emotional regulation, and mental resilience. I aim to make psychological work practical and relatable because mental training should feel as useful as physical training, not like another thing on your to-do list.
Credentials & What Drives Me – I hold a BSc in Clinical Psychology, graduating as a Gold Medallist, and I currently have over one and a half years of professional experience working with a range of emotional and interpersonal concerns. Alongside my practice, I am continuing my professional development through a Diploma in Advanced Psychotherapy and Counselling, ensuring my work remains ethical, evidence-based, and client-centred. Clients often describe my style as warm, approachable, and grounding. I balance empathy with gentle challenge, creating a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes at their own pace. I hold an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University, England, along with a BSc in Clinical Psychology, where I graduated as a Gold Medallist. I currently have over one and a half years of professional experience, and I continue to develop my practice through advanced training to ensure my work remains ethical and evidence-based. Alongside academic training, I bring first-hand sporting experience into my work. I have played cricket, handball, football, and tennis professionally, which means I understand the realities of competition, performance slumps, injuries, and that one mistake your brain insists on replaying at 2 a.m. This allows me to connect authentically with athletes, while also supporting non-athletes in using exercise as a powerful tool for mental well-being (no marathon training required).
Take the First Step – If you’re looking for a counsellor who understands both the science of psychology and the realities of being human (including occasional overthinking and self-doubt), I invite you to book a session and take the next step toward clarity, emotional balance, and self-understanding. If you’re looking for a Sport and Exercise Psychologist who understands both the science of the mind and the realities of being human (and occasionally overthinking), I invite you to book a session and take the next step toward growth, balance, and performance with purpose.
