Therapeutic Approach – Throughout my professional career, I have supported people in managing a broad range of mental health challenges – including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues and traumatic experiences by leveraging evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused and Strength-based approaches. I choose approaches which focus on building skills, developing strengths and resilience for boosting one’s confidence, self-esteem and well-being necessary for one to flourish. I connect with this perspective because it encourages a collaboration between the therapist and the individual and prioritizes on the well-being of the person. It encourages the individuals to act as an expert to explore their strengths, abilities and the resources within them and decide how they can apply these to specific areas of their life, to deal with their conflicts, effectively to cope with stressful situations, and find solutions to their problems.
