Academic & Clinical Foundation : I hold a COSCA-accredited Master of Counselling (Interpersonal Dialogue) from the University of Edinburgh, specializing in relational, trauma-informed practice that integrates psychodynamic and person-centered approaches. I’m also a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Life Coach, bringing a multifaceted approach to therapeutic work.
Assessment & Therapeutic Experience : I have over 4 years of clinical experience across the UK and India, including placements at Hope Park Counselling Centre in Edinburgh, Venture Trust Outdoor Therapy Service, and community mental health programs. I’ve provided therapeutic support to diverse populations in varied settings, from outdoor therapy to school-based interventions.
Multidisciplinary & Rehabilitation Work : I specialize in trauma-informed relational psychotherapy, working with trauma survivors, adults navigating anxiety and depression, body image concerns, anger management, and couples therapy. My training in clinical hypnotherapy and somatic experiencing allows me to address both psychological and embodied experiences of distress.
Current Counselling: As Founder and Lead Psychotherapist at Avyanna Psychotherapy, I work with clients aged 16-60 globally through online sessions, addressing a range of concerns including relational and childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, body image issues, anger management, and relationship dynamics. I’m committed to providing culturally competent, accessible mental health support.
